Location and Access to Benidorm, Alicante

Escape those cold, wet days – head for the Med
Benidorm is a sizzling city by the coast, truly the most famous of all Costa Blanca resorts but within easy reach of quieter towns, villages and fertile countryside where you will see orchards laden with oranges and lemons.
So, if you’re fed up of rainy days and cold nights, just catch a plane from any UK airport and enjoy the glow of the sun on your body as soon as you step down from the plane.
The resort is easy to reach; it can be quicker to get there than it is to travel from one city to another on British motorways.
Airlines, including Easyjet, Monarch and British Airways, fly daily to Alicante Airport from most UK airports. Once you’ve collected your luggage it’s about half an hour’s drive to the golden sand and sparkling waters of the Med.
Getting here from the Airport
- A car rental is the most convenient way to travel to the city from Alicante, and means it’s easy to get around once you’re here. Top car hire firms Avis and Europcar, amongst others, are located at Alicante Airport.
- An airport transfer booked in advance will cost about 30 euros return
- Or you could catch a bus from the airport to Benidorm, costing about 6 euros per person
- A taxi is also one of the most convenient ways to travel, expect to pay about 50 euros.
